Handoff Remote
Handoff Remote carries your work from one AI chat to another — or from chat to code terminal, laptop to phone, Claude to Grok — without losing what the session knew. The next session picks up the summary, the decisions, the open items, and the files, instead of starting cold from a pasted recap.
In daily use on my own machines; remote access from other devices is newer. Open source and self-hosted.

The moves it covers come up every day if you work with AI agents. You're deep in a chat and the work needs a real terminal. You're leaving the desk and want to keep going from your phone. A coding session finishes something another session was waiting on, and owes the result back. Each of these is one send: route the work to Chat, Cowork, or a Code terminal, into a new conversation or an existing one — whichever subscription is on the other end.
Everything is self-hosted: the store is plain files on your own machine, with no account, no hosted database, and no telemetry. A handoff works like a handshake — offered until claimed, never re-offered once shaken — and an open code terminal can be woken directly, so mail for it starts a turn with no taps.
Three rules shaped the design. Never guess a target: ambiguity is surfaced, never resolved silently. Never trust an address that dies with a process. And say only what was measured: a dispatch is reported as a dispatch, not as a delivery.
